Winter is Coming!

Hello Service Program Members!

If you are part of the Ski Patrol, Trail Ambassador or Trailhead Ambassador programs, please save the date:

2012/2013 Winter Trail Service Training
Thursday, December 6th
5:00-6:00pm at the Winthrop Rink Upstairs Room

This is an important and required part of your service hours that you won't want to miss.  We will be giving all program members an overview of program additions, trail access changes and/or new policies for the coming winter, and then we will break into program groups and provide you with the materials and scheduling info you need to plan for the season.  We promise to make good use of your time, and look forward to gathering with you then!

Event Volunteers:  Please mark your calendars for the 2012/2013 winter program and event dates that will require lots of volunteer hours.  For those of you that have traditionally earned a bunch of hours at the Swap, the Methow Nordic Festival/Pursuit weekend will be a time to earn plenty of hours.  Review the MVSTA website event calendar website for details.

Summer 2012

Summer is here, and we have already got one big event under our belt!  The Sunflower Trail Marathon and Relay was a huge success with over 500 racers participating and positive feedback all around.  Our post-race survey had a 25% return rate, and many thanks went out to all of you. 

The Mazama 10K is this weekend, and we hope to see you all at the MVSTA appreciation BBQ on Sunday.  Be sure to take a look at all of the Blog pages and log your hours, sign up for this season, and pay your membership to be eligible for your 2012/2013 ski pass.  It is all right here on the Service Program Blog!
